Welcome to my new blog! I'm going to use this space to discuss some common question I get, as well as issues that pertain to my patients. For this inaugural blog post, I'm going to answer the question I get quite a bit: When you go to a chiropractor, do you have to go forever?
This is a question I have heard a lot in my nearly 20 years in practice. On occasion when I meet someone new and they find out that I am a chiropractor they often say, “I have heard that when you start seeing a chiropractor they think you should go forever, is that true?”
My answer is always “yes.” Your body is in constant motion every day and we don’t always use the best biomechanics when doing everyday activities. We don’t always use proper posture or lift correctly. Repetitive motion causes muscle strain and wear and tear on our joints. Even the most athletic and health-conscious person is not immune to injury or joint pain.
It's not that by seeing a chiropractic you'll suddenly trigger a need for regular adjustments. Instead, visiting a chiropractor should be part of your overall health program, much like how you (likely) visit the dentist every six months. This holds true for kids, too. Everyone should have proper spinal care.
Your chiropractor will educate you about your body and what your body is telling you when you have certain signs and symptoms. Regular visits to your chiropractor will help your spine function better mechanically which in turn allows your nervous system to function optimally preventing many health I always tell people to find a chiropractor that FITS YOU and they will change your life for the better.
If you have any questions about spinal care or how chiropractic can help your overall health, give me a call or send me a message through this website. We are located in St Paul, Minnesota, and would love to help new patients get on track to a healthier life.
